How To Play Games Without CD Using No-CD Cracks

Pirating is a serious problem, I don’t deny that. But the countermeasures aren’t helping. As it is now, it’s simply easier and more user-friendly to pirate your music, games and movies.
Instead of fighting crime, the good guys, those who actually purchase their stuff, have to site through unskippable anti-piracy adds and legal warnings. It’s a bitch slap in the face of the honest consumer.

The same is true for games. People are still pirating them without breaking a sweat, but you have to jump through all kinds of hoops to play your legally purchased copy. It’s quite ridiculous, and immensely disconcerting.
Here’s how you can fight back, smite down those loops, and enjoy your game without having to wrestle copy protection.

Different Kinds Of Copy Protection

In their fight against piracy, game publishers have come up with ever more irritating ways to enforce copy protection. The most common, as you all know, is the disk requirement. Without the ‘original’ CD or DVD inserted, your game will refuse to launch. Even though you don’t really need that disk.

A wave of outrage followed Ubisoft’s latest ‘security’ advancements. Some of their latest releases insist on an internet connection to start the game. Of course, if Ubisoft’s servers are down, or if you simply aren’t connected to the internet at the moment, you won’t be able to play.

Why Honest Consumers Will Want to Know Play Games Without CD

Whatever your opinion on piracy, the facts are simple. Copy protection isn’t hurting them. It takes less than a minute to work around it. It’s the honest consumer that’s affected.
Then, instead of simply recognizing it as a necessary evil, it’s your every right to do something about it. With your legal install, you can install the same no-CD cracks that pirates use, and enjoy your games with less of a hassle. You’re not pirating a game, but getting rid of a very unnecessary evil. This is also 100% legal if you own the game.
Note: as always, the online cracking environment is still riddled with spyware. Use semi-trusted sources, like those mentioned below, to minimalise the risk, and get yourself an anti-spyware program or firewall to get ever safer.

Using Cracks Is Ridiculously Easy

This article mostly focuses on no-CD cracks, i.e. tools that allow you to start your games without inserting the disk, because this kind of copy protection is the most common – and has long been smitten down. Other cracks exist as well, to circumvent different kinds of copy protection. Those can often be obtained and used in the exact same way. Be aware, though, that there are still a number of games that simply haven’t been cracked. In those situations, you’ll have to play by their rules, and jump all the hoops.
Please note that you cannot use a crack without first having the game installed.  So don’t try starting games you haven’t bought and installed first.   It just won’t work.
Installing cracks is often very simple, and always explained in the readme, but there are some common patterns. 95% of all cracks can be installed in one of three ways.
  • Gamename.exe & (optionally) *.dll Files

These are original game files, but cracked so they no longer require (e.g.) a disk to launch. They will bear the same names as some of your own game files. Copy them to the game’s folder in Program Files and replace the original. That’s it.

  • Crackname.exe

This application (also called a ‘patch’) will crack your game files on the spot. Launch it, guide it to the game’s folder in Program Files and hit crack.
no cd crack
  • Filename.reg

These will add strings to your registry when you try to open them. In a nutshell, the registry is a big database where all your computer’s important data is kept. These aren’t as common as back in the day, but still show up once in a while.

Finding a Crack For Your Game

Finding the right crack isn’t very hard. With pirated games, they’re often included in the download. For your legal copy, you’ll have to take a peek in one of the so-called gray zones of the internet. As said before, there is always the possibility of a fake crack, so firewalls can be nifty. Sometimes, though, valid cracks are recognized as spyware, because they try to ‘patch’, or alter your game installation.
Below are some of the best sources for finding game cracks.
Possibly the single most trustworthy cracking site on the internet. This site tries to focus on legal copying, and offers a wide array of cracks and game trainers. This is the best place to start out.
Very similar to GameCopyWorld, and not merely in name. Sadly, it’s focusing ever more on trainers, and less on CD cracks. Keep your fingers crossed, though, because this is about the last ‘pretty safe’ crack site you can consult. The other sites offer a lot more cracks, but they’re also a lot more dangerous.
  • Cracks(dot)me(dot)uk (NSFW)
Access this site on your own risk! Expect to be met with a considerate number of pop-ups, and sometimes very obscene ads (18+). This is the time to buy yourself a strong and resilient firewall and install an ad-blocker. I would tell you to stay away from this site, apart from the fact that its got absolutely everything. The fake virus cracks, sure, but also pretty much every real crack that’s out there.

How to Play Gamecube Games on Wii

When Nintendo made the Wii, they added in backwards compatibility, meaning it doesn't just play Wii games, it plays games from an older system also, that being the GameCube.

Steps

- Insert the GameCube controller(s) to the slots on the top of the Wii console. There are four slots, just as there were on the GameCube. There are also two memory card slots on top or the Wii just behind the controller slots. All these are not visible unless you open the two hatches at the top of the console.

- Put the GameCube disc in. Believe it or not, that tiny GameCube disc is compatible with the Wii DVD slot (Wii games use much larger disks). Putting it in is not as tricky as it may sound. Just insert it as you would a Wii game, with the cover of the disk (the part with writing, logos, etc.) facing right. It doesn't matter how far up/down you put the disk in, it will still be able to read it.

- Go to the Game Channel on the Wii Menu and press start to begin playing. You cannot access the Wii Menu while in a GC game, so when you want to play something else, eject the disk and press "Reset".

How to Play the Skype Pig Game

Morgan O'Connor has been writing professionally since 2005. Her experience includes articles on various aspects of the health-insurance industry for health-care newsletters distributed to hospitals as well as articles on both international and domestic travel.

Skype is not just for business; you can play games, too.
No matter how much you like someone, a time may come when chatting or making phone calls over Skype is no longer interesting. Perhaps you've run out of things to talk about, or perhaps you simply want a change of pace. Fortunately, Skype offers games that can help you get over this boredom. One of these games, "Pig," lets you play a card game with up to seven of your Skype friends.

Difficulty:
Moderately Easy

Instructions

  1. Getting to "Pig"

    • 1
Open Skype and sign in. You should use the account that has the contacts with whom you wish to play "Pig."
    • 2
Click "Tools" and then hover your mouse over "Extras." Click "Play Games" in the list of options that appears. This opens a new window with a list of available Skype games.
    • 3
Click the arrow at the bottom of the new window to go to Page 2 of the games. "Pig" is located on the second page, near the bottom of the second column. Click it to open a new window with a list of your contacts.
    • 4
Select up to seven contacts to invite to play "Pig." When you are done, click "Continue." This starts "Pig."

    Playing "Pig"

    • 1
Click any of the facedown red cards in the circle to see what the card is.
    • 2
Place the card you picked up into the empty rectangle in front of you if it is anything other than a 6. If it is a 6, put it in any of the four empty rectangles within the circle of red cards. If you drew a 6, you must now draw another card. Again, place anything other than a 6 or 7 into the empty rectangle in front of you, or place a 6 into any of the remaining empty rectangles in the middle. If you draw a 7, however, you must place it atop the 6 in the center. If you drew a 6 or 7, draw again. Continue to build on the piles in the center until you draw a card you cannot use. Put it into the rectangle in front of you.
    • 3
Watch while your opponent plays his turn. He follows the same rules as you, with one exception. Because you now have a card showing in front of you, he can place his card onto one of the middle rectangles (if it is a 6 or builds upward on one of these piles), onto the rectangle in front of you (if the card builds downward from the current card showing in front of you) or onto his own pile if the card fits nowhere else. Wait and watch while each opponent plays in turn.
    • 4
Draw another card when it is your turn and play as before. This time, however, you also can place your card on any opponent's pile if it builds down from his current cards. If at any point during one of your turns you can play the top card of your personal pile onto one of the middle piles, you must do so.
    • 5
Continue taking turns until all the cards in the red circle are gone. When this occurs, you can see all the cards previously in your pile. You and your opponent or opponents begin taking turns stacking the cards from your personal piles onto the four piles in the center. As before, these cards must build up in order. Your goal is to empty your personal pile of cards onto the four piles in the center before any of your opponents.

How do you play Xbox games on a PC

How do you play Xbox games on a PC ?
Answer:
Improve
It's possible to play Xbox games through an emulator, but the only ones that exist are still very primitive, only playing a select few tested games at varying success. Some developers are only showcasing their progress thus far, with little to no access to the program itself to play/test running games. It's definitely not at a stage where you can use the emulator to casually play your games. But only time will tell!

Keep in mind, emulation of this system would also require a pretty decent PC with dedicated graphics to run smoothly. The requirements could be much higher depending on how accurate, and how optimized the emulator is.

If you must play these games, you will need to buy the actual system, and the games, or play some of the popular ones that run on the Xbox 360, furthermore, if you can pick up a modchip and install it (or get someone to), it's possible to run homebrew software and download (illegal of course, i'm sure people REALLY get steamed when you download their 8 year old xbox games that you can only find on ebay)/burn games to DVD-R, enabling quite a bit of content.

Anyway, if you're still interested in Xbox emulation use Google, or check out: http://www.angrybirds.im
